Flash Album Exporter Updated

March 8, 2007 in News by Micah Walter 3 comments

Ken Welch has just updated his Flash Album Exporter plugin for Aperture. As mentioned in a previous post, Welch’s plugin allows easy export of images from within Aperture to a number of applications from the software company Airtight Interactive.

This latest release, which is available for free download form his website, adds support for two new Javascript photo albums, Greybox and Lightbox. Welch says that while he realizes Javascript is not Flash, he has had many requests for this functionality and has simply been hesitant to change the name to something more appropriate.

FAE is pretty darn sweet. I’ve used it a few times already since its release and it’s great at what it does. I think some work could be done to fix up the UI a little bit, and I’d really like the ability to be prompted for each image’s caption, but they’ve certainly gotten off to an impressive start.

Michael,
Yeah, I just saw the new update. Two updates in two days! I’ll be posting about the new release sometime today along witha little synopsis of the plugin and what it can do. But, thanks for the heads up.

Let me know what plugins on the Apple site you would like to see here. I have been trying my best to collect them all on my own, but it isn’t easy to keep up with it all!

Thanks,
Micah
